I'm going to need some help with the wiring. It's got no lights. I guess it's a ground. IDK.

There is a roll bar and a battery tray sitting at my
House for you.
I would check the headlight switch itself before playing with a bunch of wiring.

I am so glad you didn’t go SOA and a big build! That thing looks sweet!

Thanks, Chris. There is still a little part inside me that's wants to go SOA. My wallet says no though. I'm actually looking forward to wheeling this a bit. Definitely more of a challenge on blacks.

So, I think I got my wiring figured out. The grounds were cut at some point. Got them straightened out and now I need some taillights. @1MOA do you have some you want to sell me? Ordered a carb rebuild kit today as well. I'm just going to do it and get it out of the way. I can't get it to idle less than 750-800 rpm's. Unless I'm missing something?

Not a huge deal. I can buy some.

Got the soft top bows on today.

I think you will enjoy it the size it is, with the right lines, you can really have fun with it and it is so much more fun to drive on the road. Ask anyone who has wheeled with my in Lynchburg Lemonade, they will tell you, you do not need big tires.

Well, just what I thought would happen. I rebuilt the carb today, and now it won't run without about 1/4 -1/2 choke. Followed Pinhead's videos. IDK

Try to richen it. Does it backfire through carb? May be too lean or vac leak?

Vac lines were dicked up. Thought I had them right but they weren't. Its better now. At least its idling with no choke. I will work on it some more this week. For some reason, I can't tune the thing. Has good vacuum, 15-17. When I turn the mixture screw to open it the rpm's increase. I turn the speed screw to lower to 690 rpm's and it does nothing. What am I doing wrong?

Still some work to be done to fasten it to the frame rails, but it looks pretty good. Not bad for $300. :hillbilly:

Sexy!
Those winches look right at home on the front of a 40

Try using a vacuum gauge to check what vacuum you’re pulling. Also check Ryan’s 2F tuning video on the drop down method.

Done that. Vacuum is 15-17. Did the drop down method in Ryan's video. Still wont run right.

I screwed with my carb and could never get right . Finally just got an EFI kit from Mosley. I felt like it was worth the $2700. My 40 went from being a hassle to drive anywhere, to being my daily driver right now

Keep working the carb. pull the idle screw and make sure it's clean if the passage is clogged it won't adjust at all like yours is doing ( ask me how I know)

I tore it apart and cleaned/ rebuilt it 2 weeks ago. I will check it and see. Thanks
