Hi guys, I just did the compression test on my 2F engine, FJ40 from 1978. Numbers are as follows:
140
130
130
120
125
140

I am not looking for perfection, I just want to know if these numbers are within the ´acceptable standard´, if there is any ....
I drive no more than an average of 15 miles a day.

Thanks for your replies.

Acceptable. I would drop some oil in and see if it jumps, if so then its your rings, if not, check your valve adjustment (not a bad idea either way). Could be valve seats too. Watch your plugs and see if they keep the same color, oil burning will affect the color. I think they are supposed to be withing 10-15 psi, and 120 is about as low as you want 150 is spec. I've seen cylinders with 90 psi on motors that run smooth as silk, just goes through a little more oil.

Thanks guys. According to my mecanic the engine is suppose to burn oil with these numbers, but strange enough the oil level is always fine when I change oil after 3000 miles of driving. The engine isn´t burning any oil.
