Just got my FJ40 warmed up enough to do a compression check, 6 through 2 were all 148>150 lbs hot, 6 was 155 lbs. do these reading sound alright to everyone?. Also, I have some body work to do on the tube ( rear right and left quarter panel patch, not replacement, above the stop lights. Should I patch the tub while it is still bolted to the frame or can I pull the tub and patch it off the frame?

straylight.

Compression numbers sound good to me. As far as the metal replacement, the only thing I would look out for is or question to answer is...Is there enough structural integrity to lift off the tub and then do the patching ? If yes, then I'd say it's your choice.
