I have complete 1fz engine from my fzj80 land cruiser. Pulled with about 215k miles. No knocking sounds but did smoke on cold start. Strong runner, numerous leeks. Vehicle bought by me at 207k miles so previous history not known.
Engine was disassembled by me and 3d scanned, this is the reason for the lack of grease and the little black and white dots. The white powdery paint stuff is used during the 3d scanning process, it can be cleaned off with soad, water, and a little elbow grease.
I strongly suggest rebuilding this engine before installing it in your cruiser. I found a few errors on tear down like loose valve colver bolts, crappy hose clamps on the PHH, and sloppy gasket job on the oil pan so buyer be ware. Price takes this into account. With decent investment this engine can be a powerhouse for many years to come.
Please note that the flexplate is slightly bent, this happaned removing the crank bolt. Also the wiring harness is not included. Alternator is OEM reman with less than 2000 miles on it. Also the driveshafts in the pictures are not included, i'm just a lazy and did not feel like moving them for the photo shoot.
I can put loose parts in box or reassembly w/o gaskets.
