Oh yes, I know it needs to be done hot. I'm reassembling this new head and its all been thrown outta wack. So I'm starting over from scratch.

Cold lash to start out with for timing, tuning etc. Once it's hot I'm going to go back in the valve cover and adjust hot. So add .004 to each setting? .002? What are the experts doing? Mack trucks cal for .004 addition during a cold valve lash. Land Cruiser heads whats the expected difference?

I wouldn't worry, for the purpose intended just use the hot setting and reset them again when hot. Your not going to be redlining the engine or anything there is no danger at all in using the hot setting.

I agree. Just use the factory spec. Others here on Mud have said they have seen no difference between hot and cold. If you're worried, just add a couple thousandths just to make sure.
