Stephan: Have you tried putting the t-case in neutral and having the transmission in gear while you fast idle and wait for the truck to warm up a little? Greg's told me about this trick to warm up the tranny a little. That's cold!

Put Amsoil in the trans and engine too!

Also get some of this stuff:

This stuff is NOT snake oil. This is the only stuff out there that really works. After the US govt stopped allowing sperm whale oil to be used as lubricants in automotive industries Lube Gard was created.

Put Lube Gard in your engine, and your trans and ring and pinions.

If things are really bad, attatch one of these to your trans and plug it in at night.

Cold weather

I live in Yellowknife for 2 weeks out of the month and its my first winter with my own personal cruiser but it comes from up there. The original owner said that he ran synthetic oils and never had any problems.I work for mining companies in the artic and we run a lot of different models of cruisers up there and i have heard of the t case in neutral trick but to be honest in the winter those truck never ever get shut off.We deal with temps of -65 celcius and not much anything likes to run in those temperatures.
