I don’t believe we’ve ever paid TLCA any sort of cut for Fall Crawl, and as the treasurer I don’t think I’ve ever been asked for such a thing. We have noticed the insurance amount doubling or tripling in the last few years. Maybe that insurance fee has increased as a way to collect a cut? I would be interested in alternative insurance coverage if such a thing is found.

I think TLCA gets 10% of proffits. You also get advertising and an ad in TT. and anywhere else they promote events. We paid them this when BBRC was hosting Fall Crawl for all those years. 10% is not that much, $100-200 on a good year. They are what we are all about and I would like to see them stick around for a while. Not saying kids with Cancer are not important but most of us have gotten together because of TLCA and our passion for Land Cruisers. Before the internet and social media, TT was about the only way to find out about great events from other clubs around the country. I will continue to support them.

Now onto the July gathering. What park do you guys plan to wheel?

Most likely AOAA because Rausch is so expensive for just a few days.

@Boomstick you'll need to cancel your date for the following weekend if you want to hang with our group...that said, the Gotham crew is great too and you'll make some new friends then too if you keep what you have. Last year, I stayed up at the Hampton Inn about 5 miles up the road and came in to hang at the campsites in the evening...not a bad option if you want to change to the 11th-14th and can't get on the campground and want a cabin at this point (I think all cabins are booked for that weekend now, but some prime campsites are still open).
Soooo... tried to cancel the cabin and gonna have to make a call about it. However, I did get a room at the Hampton in for the event. I will be there, I will be square. Are we cooking again? Do I need to let the wife know she needs bake sweet cornbread again?

I usually cook enough to share, but it's not in the same league as Finn and Eric. My typical menu includes FCP, quesadillas, pancakes and little smokies, etc.

No specific plans at this point...I may reserve the crab cakes for Fall Crawl unless there's a pretty solid CLCC contingency or special requests.

FYI, we have paid TLCA for Fall Crawl event insurance. Talk to Stump.

Bump from the Keystone side for anyone who may be coming. I’ll be there Thursday the 11th through Sat 13th. Have a campground reserved at Twin Grove for Thurs & Friday nights. Probably wheeling at AOAA.

OnX has 30% off on their website and their ads n FB. Code "partyintheusa30"

That’s a shame, I really preferred the simple aesthetic of Maprika, which I know is off the App Store now (but still works).
I still have maprika... I like the fact that I can record which trails I take... if I remember to start it !

Heading up Thursday afternoon, there by 6:00 pm hopefully, have a primitive cabin Thursday Friday Saturday night.
