BUMP!

I was supposed to have firmed up plans and even started some tentative intenerary by the end of GSMTR. That didn't happen so, if something doesn't come together soon, this may be a solo trip (very little planning is involved if I don't have other people and others' trucks).

Gonna start looking at MUDship options for taking trailer space on the round trip.

Id love to go and will go as long as i have done the sas and locked and geared...

Bump.

Trip looked like it was a no-go for a while there, but inspiration is returning now. Anyone still interested in going with me? I have a couple of new possibilities outside of the Ga Club now too.

Moab trail possibilities might have opened up if I take the Taco too. Although, obviously, that'd take up a lot of space on the trailer.

Still nobody able to go?

Starting to think about taking two weeks off now that I'm considering the Taco for Moab. Would spend a whole week in Moab that way then probably a whole week in CO. More wheeling AND less travel time pressure.

If anybody's still following this thread, check this place out: Sand Hollow

watching linked rig going through soup bowl makes me wonder how a leaf sprung truck would do, there's a lot of articulation needed for that one.

Those sure are some lightly modified trucks...

Yeah Ted, that's what I said on my thread on that site to the guys who are talking about that place... I said I don't know that my truck is light enough or has enough flex for that place. :meh:

Steve how modified is your Taco??? Post a Pic. Any Trails I can take the 45 on-Open Open Diffs. 2.5 OME Lift.

Here's a picture for you Henry. Ahh crap, wrong pic; that isn't my Tacoma!

yeah, right. D44 SAS, dual cases, locked F and R so you could pretty much call it stock.

Henry, if I take the Taco out there, and have enough time, there are some trails I'd like to hit that are more scenic than rough. So yes, if the stars all align properly, there is plenty of stuff at Moab that you could do in the 45.

So sad.... I would be almost to my first destination by now if the trip occurred as planned. :(
