Clutch weirdness!? (1 Viewer)

Hey guys, I’m having a weird problem.

Just starting today when I press my clutch pedal in sometimes it does nothing and I cannot put the transmission into a gear, it’s like the pedal is not pressed down at all. If I release it and repress it down then it generally works. Any guesses as to where I should start diagnosing the problem?

Fluid master cylinder, etc.

Failing clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder.

Cheap enough parts that I might as well.

Always replace as a pair in my opinion. Check hose as well. Cheap enough to ensure many more trouble free miles

Was having the exact same issue. Fluid was leaking down my firewall behind my clutch pedal. My master cylinder bit the dust. Replaced both the clutch master and slave cylinders with Aisin and some questions answered by @CenTXFJ60 and I’m back in business. Drives “like new” again. Easy job, took about 45 min to replace both and then another 15-20 ish min bleeding and you’re good to go. You got it!
