I am having some problems with my new clutch i installed on my 82' BJ60.
I installed it as the directions explained and followed advice i read here from other mudders and on some other websites. well, got the engine back in and went to drive it for the first time, popped the clutch and nothing happened at all. no friction while releasing it, no bad grinding sounds, nothing. I have no idea what I may have done wrong, im guessing something in mating of the engine and tranny but i really don't know. any advice would be helpful. thanks.

Check all of the easy stuff first, and then check again. I did a clutch job a few years ago and had exactly the same thing happen. Spent a long day installing the clutch, fired up the engine, put tranny in gear, released clutch, and nothing. The next day I was back on it after having spent a few hours mentally diagnosing the problem. I had convinced myself that the clutch disc was in backwards so I yanked it all apart and put it back together. The disc had been installed correctly the first time. The reason the Cruiser was not moving when in gear is that I had had the t-case in neutral.
