Clutch Compatability

I have a new 4spd clutch that Id like to use with my 3spd. If I use the 4spd flywheel will the clutch be compatable with my 3spd. The input shafts are very close in length 1/10 of and inch difference,and the pressure plates are the same. I have the throwout bearing for the 4 spd as well and all other associated parts, for both the 3 spd and the 4spd. I just dont want to put the worn 3spd stuff back in after going this far.

If it will work I can bolt it all up today and get her running, if not I have to order a new clutch and wait, wait wait...

Your transmission doesn't know the difference between the clutches. As long as you use all 3 sp parts OR all 4 speed parts (including the flywheel) you will be fine.

If you use the 4spd flywheel you will have no trouble. make sure you mount the clutch plate with the nose pointed towards the fly, and your tranny is in neutral.
