OK, all this resurrection of official club talk has me itching to meet some of you that i have never met. There's alot of eager beavers up north AL so let's do ride/camping trip soon... like before Christmas... nothing fancy, just bring your own crap to eat, sit on, pet, spoon, etc.
How's the new park in Cullman? can we reserve camping spots there big enough for a dozen folks?
We can even name the ride... call it Dixie Wrecked Ride or something witty like that.
One of the things I'll preach until I'm blue in the face is that a good time trumps formality... i want to meet and spend time wheeling and making hysterical memories around the camp fire a whole lot more than spending countless nights and days trying to figure out how to be official. if it gets formal along the way then so be it. but we gotta start by knowing each other first and building an unbreakable brotherhood bond first...
The only thing that could keep me from missing CottonLand's event this weekend just happens to be my best friend on this earth, my brother. He accidentally booked his trip down here this weekend and i almost blew him off, but I didn't. The CottonLand crew are just as important to me , not because i know them through this forum and not because I pay dues to the same official club as they do, but because i've spent countless hours around a fire or on a trail with them... They are officially my family. it just so happens that my brother needs me more this week, and you know it has to big if I'm willing to miss the Crawl which I've never missed one...
if DixieLand ever gets off the ground as an official club, it will not be because we submitted paper work in on time or to the correct people, it will be because a group of friends are so damn tight that TLCA will want to recognize us.
So who wants to wheel? Suggestions on a place and date to do so? If you can't make the ride.. then so what, catch the next one. ... we all can't make them all... And it should be cool if you have a friend with a non-yota that wants to come... every club has a token heep guy.
