Looking for a clean, relatively low mileage 04-07 100 series LX or LC with good history to buy within 30 days!! Cash in hand. Looking for the right vehicle. Located in Florida but will have it picked up and shipped for the right deal.

This will be used to tow behind our motorhome across the US and use to haul around our kids so reliability and safety are crucial. I needed a vehicle that can haul at least 5 people, cargo and gear and get us to and from the middle of nowhere without major mods.

Thanks!!

No NAV means different things, here's a few I can think of:
  1. Separate climate control. (My personal favorite.)
  2. Easily upgrade to modern stereo and or NAV w/ high res screen.
AHC
I like AHC for: "H" working under, "L" for working on top or loading or hooking up trailer. When AHC system working well it's sweet to dial in for road condition. But even in a well maintained systems, the globs will fail. It's components are pricey. So high maintenance cost is big draw back.

Non AHC or standard Land Cruiser suspension; is robust, reliable, inexpensive to maintain and is easily upgraded for built rig weight or lift. For off road or third wold it's the only way to go.

VVT
Does have addition emission reducing features.

But what we care about is the sport car feel to it. With it's better acceleration and passing ability, they fly over the mountain passes with near the easy of the 200 series' 5.7L duel cam VVt heads.

Here are just a few of the changes.
Redesigned intake has 8 butterfly along the top which open as less torque needed at high speeds, adding to high end power curve. This along with the VVT (variable valve timing) improves HP and MPG over 70 MPH also. Some have fitted these intakes on non VVT 2UZ-fe

It also has oil jet under each piston.

They also made some changes to metals and shapes. Valves, pistons on such.

The AI system will need servicing and like starter is under intake.

The O2 or A/F sensor issue, seems confined to 06, possible early 06. We've not heard a lot of this in 07. But this could be due to so few 07 made. It could be due to a batch of sensors, we don't know. But easy fix if one swaps out sensor, rather than CAT as some have done.

And this is exactly why I love this forum. Thx so much for the reply! I don’t think I could have received a more comprehensive response anywhere else!!

BUMP!!! I have had two trucks sold out from under me by two sellers. I need a truck ASAP as we are attempting to leave in two weeks to head out west in our motorhome. Anyone have any leads??? $ finders fee available!

Well it looks like I have a deal pending!!! If all goes well Monday, I should have her home by the end of next week!!!

05 LC non-AHC 91k miles primo garage kept condition. Wasn’t the cheapest but service and maint records were great and pending inspection, I got a reasonable deal.

Third times the charm! Fingers crossed on this one.

Agreements must be in writing and sealed with a deposit or they're meaningless.

Oh no doubt. The problem I had with my experiences is that both sellers said "deal" and not to worry about a deposit. Even upon insisting, it was "Don't worry about. Consider it sold." They are free to do business how they see fit. But don't say deal and then sell it out from someone is my point. Im one where my yes is yes and my no is no. If its a first one to show up kind of deal, then let it be exactly that.

Its all good. It all happens for a reason. We can't control what we can't control, just our response to it.

So the seller of the 05 LC I'm attempting to purchase sent me some pics of the undercarriage. Theres a little rust but it looks to be very minor and expected. Thanks in advanced for any input! Want to make sure I know what im buying before I proceed any further.

I'd want to see more pictures. Not what I'd call a "primo garage kept condition"

I know. People love to oversell and overstate. The ad even stated 'no rust'. I can't get up to PA to look at it so I have a buddy going up on Monday to check it out. Its almost like its just not meant to be!!!
