I'm looking for a low miles (under 150k), well maintained (receipts of some kind) 100 preferably built but a stocker is ok. I'm in Socal so something in the western US. Willing to go as far East as Colorado, as far north as Washington, as far south east as Texas and obviously anywhere in Cali. I would prefer an LX470 to replace my current LX450 but a yota would be fine. I prefer an 03 or newer but would consider older if the mileage and maintenace were decent.

Dont know if you're interested, but I just put my 1999 Landcruiser up for sale yesterday. It has about 90K miles and is in good condition. I purchased it last year with the intention of essentially restoring it to "as-new" condition. It has all maintenance, including the 90k mile service, new shocks, fan clutch, spark plugs, etc. It has been a great truck, and my daily driver, since May. It has not been modified in any way. I need to purchase my wife a new car because we have a baby on the way, and I would rather not have two car payments. I have it listed on Craigslist for $15k. If you have any interest in checking it out, please feel free to email me at: wa.watson@hotmail.com I am located in the Thousand Oaks area of SoCal.

Will

I have gotten a few messages about 100's. Apparently I should be more specific on my budget. I can't go over 16k. Originally I thought I had a max budget of 20k but apprently I wasn't communicating with my wife very well. After some enlightening from my wife I realized 16k is my absolute top number. That means all maintenance is current, timing belt/water pump done, and no needed repairs. I also don't want to pay 16k for a 98-99 when I can find those locally for 8-12k with decent mileage. I would REALLY prefer an 02-04 with under 130k and preferably the LX470 (that's my wife's request). Semi built would be ideal but definitely not a must. I am willing to pay up to my max budget if it's clean, low miles, docuemented maintenance, and a clean title AND in the newer years. I know my budget can't get me 05-07 100s so I need to stick in that 02-04 range. I want as new and as low miles as possible.

I have a 2000 with 125000, 2nd owner, all records and normal maintenance from a dealer since 2000, slightly built: 1.5" OME package bought from Slee Offroad and installed by Christian Brothers Automotive. 1st buyer bought it in Amarillo Tx, it stayed there untill I bought it in about 2011 and it is now with me in Plano Texas. No rips or tears, and it is a daily driver. I just want to see if there is interest out there still.

What's the asking price?

sorry I've had second thoughts. she's too perfect to break up with so I think I'll just keep her. Thanks for the interest but its not for sale

Well that sucks. If you change your mind, let me know.

Be forewarned it seems lots of people like to post "feeler" threads or "have a change of heart" and don't end wanting to sell. I dealt with plenty of those when I looked a few years ago and it was quite aggravating to get 90% done with deal out of state and have them tell me at the last minute "hey I talked to my wife and we're going to keep it". Really, you waited this long to talk to the woman you (presumably) sleep next to every night about selling the family vehicle?? :slap:

Mcgaskins - I'm a new member of this site. It has awesome people willing to impart some knowledge, watch eachother's backs for scammers, or just be willing to "kick the tires" on an idea with other members. I value this a lot.

My first impression of long term members is they are encouraging, helpful, and full of knowledge. However, I guess there will be some that come half cocked to these conversations, and you are the first one to do this with your latest post. So let me help you out:

1. your first incorrect assumption was equating your deals that were "90% done" to me merely asking if there was still interest from a post that was 2 weeks old

2. your second incorrect assumption was that I need permission from my wife to sell my vehicle.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck, but you'd do better if you gather some facts before you start shooting off.

First off you seriously misinterpreted my post. Secondly it would serve you well to spend a little more time reading some threads and getting a feel for what the history is like here instead of registering then immediately posting your truck sorta for sale then telling people a couple days later it's not really for sale like you did last week in this thread (https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/2000-100-125k-all-maint.845037/). If you had been looking at this for sale board for a couple years like many people here, you would have observed that a couple times a month people post up a feeler thread like this one a few weeks ago (https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/ca-feeler-98-built-cruiser.834006/) only to pull out the carpet and leave people interested with no follow up. Read a little and you'll see several posts where guys didn't check with their wives before they listed their 100 for sale, or so the story goes. I haven't had bad luck at all - if you had read recent posts or been around a while you'd see I bought a sweet 100 a couple years ago and just sold it a couple weeks ago after I built it up and had fun with it to fund some exciting life changes. Don't be so sensitive and jump to conclusions when you haven't picked up how the board works yet. It won't serve you well to be defensive.

Joey, welcome to the site. I agree with your post about a lot of good people and information here. But spend a little more time here before lashing out at guys like McG - he is a solid contributor here, and I don't read anything where he was calling you out specifically. McG is good people...

Bhinks: keep up the search and keep being patient. A lot of good rigs seem to be coming out of Cali, AZ and Texas all within your search radius.

wow this thread went south on me. I haven't had a chance to get on the forum recently I've been in the hospital the last 4 days with a ruptured appendix. My wife picked up the hunt for 100 where I left off. she picked us up a 2003 100 yesterday. I am very proud that she took it upon herself to get the deal done even though I was in the hospital. it is a 2003 LX 470 with 82k original miles and one owner. She picked it up for 16 K I felt like that was a fantastic deal. It had decent maintenance records but not as much as I would have liked to have seen. I will have to baseline the entire vehicle so I that I know it's starting with a clean start.

That sounds like a great deal - congrats! Good luck mending from the hospital stay as well.

Forget the hundy...now THAT is a woman. Closing the deal on a 100 while you are laid up. She's a keeper!

And post pics (no, not the wife... of the LX) :)

Congrats. Sounds like a good deal.

I will get some pics posted in a new thread in the 100 section pretty soon. I want to have pictures of my 80 and 100 side by side before I have to sell my 80. I'm going to be very sad to see my LX 450 go. It took me 2 years to find that particular one.
