Well the 22nd is fine now. I had surgery scheduled for Friday the 21st, but they rescheduled for the 28th.

Was thinking of throwing out an invite to anyone wanting/ needing to work or supervise someone else working on their junk. I may need some help with final touches on the 40 and figured with Fall Crawl around the corner people may need to get some stuff done. I can make the lift available as well. Been a while since the last tech day.

I need to adjust valves and set timing. Tune the carb a bit more

1moa, you will need a longer positive cable, as the stock one is too short - at least on my '77. I went whole hog and got fourruner's custom cable kit. His positive lead is about 25" and that worked for me. Stock is about 21" or so. Also, you won't need the third wire that attaches at the inboard side of the solenoid. The red arrow shows the wire that you can just wrap up to the harness somewhere as it is not needed on the GR starter.

Alright, so maybe I'm going to change the date for this. I'm thinking about taking the '76 down to the broverland east event and sniff around for the day. Not sure yet though. I just got a brand new pair of kaki's and I really want to wear them.
Maybe work on junk that Sunday.
