CLCC Spring Fling (1 Viewer)

UPDATE 4/12/2012:

(1) Saturday, April 14th is our day!

(2) What to bring--pot-luck sides and desserts; Vegetarians, please bring your tofu, veggie-patties and couscous. And of course, all BYO beverage. ALSO RECOMMEND THAT YOU BRING A FOLDING LAWN CHAIR!

(3) GRILL: Chicken and Ribs (ballpark: $5 each, kids exempt) per person. Glenn's big trailer grill will be smokin' the bones! Of course, there will be some who don't want grill items. No problem, bring your own entree.

(4) Please PM myself (SAS) and Thornton to indicate if you are coming, how many in your crew (family, friends) and whether you're buying-in on the grilled chicken and ribs. This is so we can accurately estimate the chicken and ribs. AS OF 12 APRIL, THERE ARE 31 CONFIRMED ATTENDEES.

CLCC is having a Spring Fling outdoor BBQ party to celebrate our recent club achievement---501c (3) status as a tax-exempt social club.

Here's what you need to know!
Date--14 April (Saturday)
Time--3pm--8pm--the grill will start cookin' at noon; early arrivals to help setup and hang-out are welcome. We expect to START SERVING FROM THE GRILL AT 3:00 OR SOON THEREAFTER.
Place--Thornton's Garage, Bar, and Grill (Dumfries Rd./Brentsville Rd) PM ME OR THORNTON FOR DIRECTIONS.

There will be door prizes for CLCC members, and a small raffle, too. The raffle is open to all attendees (CLCC members and those yet-to-be CLCC members so bring your prospective TLCA/CLCC member friends!).

I received a package from TLCA (thank you Jennifer!) with some sweet schwag every Cruiser enthusiast will like.

Good with either date, with slight preference to the later date since it will be warmer. The chicken/ribs/giant BBQ sounds like a great idea too.

Currently I can do the 28th, but will b out of town on the 14th. BBQ sounds good, I would even volunteer to smoke some ribs, chicken, pork belly - whatever, on my smoker that morning.

I don't have a preference to either day

Depends on whether we have a work day prior to the Fling. Personally, I don't want to get nasty from solvents/cleaners/sanding/pressure washing/painting roll-on bedliner before having a BBQ/picnic.

If we have a (heavy) work day prior to, then we could have a (light) work day the morning-of the Fling. But even assuming the Fling is the 28th, I don't foresee a weekend prior to that working for me due to other "commitments".
