As has been discussed at a couple past meetings, we're headed to Rausch Creek on the second weekend in November. I'm planning on wheeling on Friday and Saturday, camping there at Rausch Creek, and heading back south on that Sunday the 9th. I haven't figured out, yet, if I'm heading up on Thursday night or early Friday morning.

This trip will be open to all, CLCC club members or not. If you haven't been to RC before, they've got a wide variety of trails so all should be able to have fun on trails they're comfortable with, regardless of the abilities of your truck. Depending on how many people we have turn out, we might split into a couple groups based on desired difficulty.

Please post up if you're interested in coming. I'll send an email out to the list, too.

sounds good. i'll there.

Sounds like a plan, I doubt we will have much competition due to the late fall date but we should check the Rausch Creek calender for events that weekend. Also, we should call or email Lynn and let her know we are coming and plan on camping on site. She will be able to tell us if there are any other club events that weekend. If people want to go up on Thursday she must know we are coming or the gate will be locked.

How about if we invite the ALCA and BBR clubs? I can post something on their club sections. When I was at the Fall Crawl more than one BBR member approached me about when we are going to contact them about doing another swap meet.

Since many of our members have not done much trail riding if there is interest we can take part of one of the days and hold a class on wheeling 101 where we can explain and demonstrate driving techniques, winching, and proper vehicle recovery techniques, etc. This is something the Trail Teams do at events and it is a huge hit with wheelers, new and old.

I checked the calendar and didn't see anything. I'll call or email Lynn and let her know our plans, though.

It would be great if you posted an invite to ALCA and BBRC. I wanted to do that but didn't get around to it yesterday. I think ALCA is heading to RC a couple weeks after this, but there might be some guys that can't make that trip.

Hello to all. I was in contact with Felix and he was so kind to let me tag along for this event. Thank you Felix! I am currently living in Kuwait, and don't get to wheel at all or drive my truck since it is back in the states. I will be in town just in time for the event. Wow what great timeing. I look foward to meeting you all.

Well I had to bail on Crozet due to rain so I'm hoping to make this my last trip of the season. Matt and I will probably come up on Thursday and come home on Sunday. If Dave comes we can have a bourbon sampling session.

Dave can bring the Blanton's and I'll bring some Rebel Yell

Perfect! That sounds like an even trade.

Wow, they still make that crap. I got drunk off that in college. Oh, and no bourbon for you Felix.

I saw this posted on the FJBruisers forum. I am interested in coming up and camping out Friday night and wheeling Saturday.

Sounds great, you're more than welcome. Pretty soon I'll try to get a list of people coming and when. I'll try to exchange cell phone numbers with everyone so we're sure to meet you at the park.

Bob,
Have you talked to Burl yet. I know his computer was getting fixed. I'll call him to see if he can make it and I'll hitch a ride.

Chris,

I spoke with Brother Burl on Friday and he's going to try to get the time off so he can come. He said something about you keeping his sleeping bag warm.

Do you have the choke and warm cables from your parts 40?

I have an 07 fj crusier. I also am one of the brusiers. my wife and I are planning on being there also. It might just be on Saturday but we should be there.

I don't think she'll wheel the FJC but the 45 may see some greens in the Spring.

I think Barb (Mrs. Dave) should bring her FJC.
