I got a letter from some tort lawyers who have entered a class action suit against TMC for rotors that were required to be replaced during the first 36K (assuming you had to pay for them yourself). Apparently doesn't matter if front or rear, or why they were damaged? TMC pays up to $6M...Lawyers get $2.5M (apparently it's good to be a lawyer)...littigants get either $175 or $350 depending on if they had to replace them just once, or twice within (I think) 42K.

I know some folks have had trouble with rotors warping, but this is the first I've heard of it becoming a litigous issue, or of it happening so early on the truck (i.e., 36K). This doesn't happen to apply to me (too bad...wouldn't mind a couple hundred clams), but I've never even seen so much as a service recall on my truck...then I get this. Go figure.

Tom,

You haven't seen a recall notice because there haven't been any that apply. ::) (see, you bought a perfect truck)

Yup :D. It just struck me as really odd--normally you would only see the lawyers jump in after a recall. My truck has been purty darn good to me. :D
