Has anybody removed the chrome strip that runs from the bottom of the A-pillars and then around the roof line? I'm thinking about getting my truck painted and am curious about just removing this thing.

NorCalCruzr said:The PO on my truck had a roof rack on it which marred the hell out of this gutter trim and of course held moisture against the body, causing rust. Also scratched the top, causing more rust. I have removed every piece of trim from my truck because it is responsible for every spot of rust on it. That means consider removing the trim around your wheel wells, and especially the lower running boards trim. Low=closer to the moisture. On the latter, however, there are mounting holes, but I still think it's worth removing to save the truck from rust.

Hurry up 82-SOA-60 we have a bunch of work to do to that rig! I think the powertrain swap is more important than the holes and paint, we can knock the cosmetics out in one good weekend.
