should pull off without using much more than your fingers. it's a plastic component that snaps over the metal raingutter. remove the c-clips that hide the joints first, then simply pry the molding off.
if you're taking that off, pull all of the rest as well. makes for a very clean truck, a great look, and eliminates all of the rust potential in those areas, especially the pieces on the lower rocker panels. the trim around the rear windows/liftgate can be removed as well but you will have to replace the window seals with ones from a non-U.S. spec vehicle that didn't ship with the chrome insert. the chrome rails on the driver and passenger doors, front & rear, that hold the window sweeps are more of an issue. do it, you won't regret it...
