were did you find the non US rear or front window moulding without chrome? I show it as discocntinued and replaced wtih the chrome version. I think there is aftermarket however.

pimp,
I couldn't find them domestically so the chrome stayed in the rear windows.TLC in L.A. thought they could still be had abroad, but at a price that wasn't worth it to me since they are not indirect contact with any paint.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see why one has to replace the molding. When I replaced my rear window, I didn't bother putting the molding back on. Haven't noticed any leaks or anything. I think it looks fine too.

thats interesting overlord. i need to replace my rear window as well. maybe ill leave it off. im thinking of painting the licence plate light thing black(dont know what to call it). mine is half rust and half chrome.

ya might think about removing those mud flaps!

i took off all 4 flaps on my 60 a few minutes ago. what was hiding under there was not pretty. lots o rust. especially on the rear driver's side. i took some pics and will post up later. where the flap screws in on the rear driver's side is totally rotted out. i'm not sure how it was hanging on there except it looked like the PO caulked it on there.

I pulled all my chrome off last night (along the rain gutters). Took all of five minutes to get it off... then I had to break out the hose and a tooth brush to get all the dirt and gunk out of there.

I found a few TINY spots of rust (just surface rust) hiding under the chrome, but nothing at all major. I like the look of it a lot better. I think I'll just leave it off for good.

I took jumped on the bandwagon, but my fj62 last no rust, but it did come off easy, and I am liking it without it alot better... unfortunately you can't get the window lower chrome off, I think they look cleaner as others have said w/o it..

well you can do it, when you repaint the truck..

i need to take my trim off but had my rig painted about 3 months ago and am not sure if the POS that screwed me on the paint had it off to paint. i don't think he did so i don't know if it'll look goofy with out it...
also.. has anyone on here rhino lined their rocker panels. i saw it on a taco and wondered if it would be a worth-while mod
