I won't be able to make it unfortunately. That is opening day up at Bridger for the season... Proprieties and such and pointing me to the slopes. Maybe if I hit a tree up there hard enough they will let me take it with me!

Okay, after the meeting today it seems like we have some details...
What: Black Friday Christmas Tree Sale brought to you by the National Forrest. $5/tree (get a permit at ACE Hardware)
When: Black Friday 11/23 10:00 am meet up. Rolling before 10:30
Where: Meet at Overland Cruisers then we'll go somewhere with trees... not Hyalite!
Why: I really don't know why we bring dead trees into the house and decorate them to remind us about Christmas... But it is TRADITION!
Who: I am bringing my 5 and 9 year olds and giving them axes to play with. What could go wrong!?
Who else is in so we can get a good idea of who's coming.
Also, I am sure it isn't necessary to remind folks but snow wheelin' is a whole 'nother animal. Bring warm clothes, proper footwear, a real shovel, a good tow strap, max trax/chains if you got them, warm liquids and a good patient attitude. Life has taught me you don't go far fast in snow. I'll bring some sleds for the boys/kids, Darren wants to bring a trailer behind his Yaris so yeah, your rig can make it on this run too!
Having never done this before I am not entirely sure if these are good recomendations. But some thoughts for locations are:
1) Battle ridge road
2) Fairy lake
3) Jackson creek area
Just some thoughts. Happy thanksgiving!
Come on Brian, tell em the story lol! Happy Thanksgiving to all, wish I could be there. It's raining here now, will wait awhile longer for the roads to turn nasty before heading east. Seems to be my normal approach to things. ps, pay attention and watchout for the snow snakes, be sure to warn your wives and kids not to wander off due to them. Word is that some have already been spotted due to the early snow.Technically, they aren't dead. We chop off their legs, prop them up and keep them alive and locked up just long enough to fulfil our needs. Then when we are done with them we stop feeding them, let them starve and take them out into the forest and burn the dead corpse for warmth. But hey it's fun. I do it every year.
As far as the axes go there is a reason why my nick name in Mexico is 'Nueve Tres Cuatro-9 3/4'. I'm bringing a saw.![]()
