Ok, I just got a new choke cable to replace the rusted out rolled up one in the corner of my engine compartment and I was wondering if there is a best way to route this over and around to the engine side of the carb. It looks like it fits naturally along the firewall, underneath the support, and kinda over the manifold to get to the carb straight on. I guess this is the best way.

Just make sure it is not touching the manifold or anything that will get hot so it will not melt the plastic outside.

If I recall correctly there should be a spot on the air cleaner that the cable hooks to. This tab holds the cable from touching the manifold.

Thanks, I look for the spot on the air cleaner. That is probably the missing link to having this set up correctly. I am excited to have some choke now!

What he said....at the carb there is a cable holder that will clamp the metal end part of the cable. It tighten with a simple phillips head screw.

The routing from the firewall to the carb is pretty straightforward.
