What is this all about, mispelled? is this jacked up or is supposed to be this way? YODA? On my 1983 BJ42 LX from AUS RHD.

You will see the same spelling on your power steering pump.

I was told that toyoda is the family name and it was changed to toyota for some reason. I think it was for the U.S. market. But i could be wrong.

that is correct, its how its spelled or was

the founder of the toyota motor co. was named Toyoda. the story i got was that he thought it arragant to name something after yourself so the co. name was spelled with a t. the power steering parts where actully built by another company.the other company was a sewing machine co. owned by a nephew iirc. ill try to find the article where i got this and make sure i am remebering this correctlly.
