Thanks. Pic two from the original post is looking toward the back of the rig over the CO2 tank enclosure which we built behind the rear seats for saftey in case of collision (heavy duty clasp onthe door). Here are a couple more to help shed light on what's going on. Pic three in this post is of one of the side wells where my axe, bow saw and mini shovel dwell.

Weight = Heavy plus/minus a few lbs
It's the tools, CO2 tank and snatchblock/chains more than the actual box itself adding weight.
It's HOMEGROWN - 'stole' ideas from a bunch of different box systems guys build on here.
Went to the OME Heavy Springs all the way around (also have rear tire swing)

- Thanks for asking....O80

very nice...very nice. well done. looks good. i likey!!

Thanks guys - it's one of my favorite changes I made to the truck, after the winch and bull bar; which have just plain old saved my ass time and time again.....

Forgot to mention this before - when you build a system like this remember to keep a couple of key items out of the drawers such as your winch control, tree saver and snach block because you can get the truck stuck backed up against a tree and therefore not be able to access the drawers. Learned that the hard, cold wet, long, pissy way. :doh:

Nice job dude. Can you tell me the inside dimension of the flip up lid area storage? Pretend that it was one large compartment.

Thanks.

Sure, there are three 'flip up storage areas'. One houses the CO2 tank immediately behind the rear seats and the other two are along the sides at the way back. I think you are reffering to the CO2 tank area and it is:

Width - 9 3/4"
Depth - 8 3/4"
Length - 41"

Hope that helps. I love having the CO2 since filling 35" tires via other methods after a day on the trail is just a pain. Not to mention the jaws that drop when you bust out the CO2 - that's kinda fun too. I posted this first pic to show the handles that I have since added to the drawers. They were necessary as my clasps were not up for the job of pulling the heavy drawers out. Point being, leave an inch or so between the face of the drawers and the tailgate. Second pic is posted because I like it. :D Show me what you come up with when you compete yours. :cheers: O80
