Is the Sequoia just a larger Land Cruiser? I hear that question often over the years. The answer is sort of, but not really. They're very different platforms in my opinion. As I wrap up my ownership of our 2018 Sequoia 4x4 I took a few minutes to do an in-depth review of the 2nd generation Sequioa, and also share some thoughts about the differences that stood out to me when comparing the Sequoia to the LC200 and LX570.

It has been an awesome SUV for us, but it was just time to move on to another toy for now.

Hope this video is helpful to folks that are thinking about purchasing a Sequoia to see if it is right for you.

Great thread. Have been looking at 2018+ Sequoias after finding out we have a third kid on the way. Spending about $30k on a 2018+ with 120-150k on it makes me feel better after seeing how well yours has held up at 250k.

They're an awesome choice. The amount of second and third row space you get in the 2nd gen sequoia is unmatched in my opinion.

I've heard on the Platinum you can remove the 2nd row center console to make a pass-through, do you know if correct? We need our oldest (5 when the baby comes) to be able to get in to the third row himself without moving two car seats in second row captain's chairs.

Yes, you can remove the center console. When I bought mine the center console was removed and in the trunk, the previous owner had done exactly what you mentioned.
