GSMTR 2013 discussion

  • We will likely forgo a group photo next year due to the size of the park and the available facilities
  • We will ensure there is a large high quality picture of the attendees at the raffle
  • The new venue is cool.
  • The new venue is expansive. Several trips will be made by club members to ensure they are familiar enough to lead trail rides.
  • A tentative schedule for GSMTR 2013 is nearly finalized
  • The thank you cards are finished. Andy will be mailing them. Unfortunately the high res shot of the truck did not work for the card.
  • 2012 article has been printed in Trails. It was good but someone got kudos for something he did not do. No biggy. (Your welcome Steve. ) Hugh should do it again next year.

Dues were discussed. The possibility of raising STLCA dues to combat inflation was voted down.
We ate. The steak was good.
We drank.
Tech discussion
  • An 80 can drive 80 on I-24 on three wheels
  • A 40 can drive straight with a broken spring center bolt
  • Sean's truck is to high but his SOA is not done because he does not have an anti-wrap bar. His truck is not safe. He hit a tree after failing to acknowledge another cruiser head's warnings. His roof rack is cool and holds lots of s*** but it occasionally ends up being recovered on trail.
  • A 70 series can go faster than Larry thinks.
  • An 80 can pull a trailer with a 40 on it.
  • Todd gives a class on how a diff works.
  • Sean is schooled on his center diff lock in his 100.
  • Sean is not allowed to drive his 100. It belongs to his wife. Sean does not wear the pants in his family. Sean is a generally pathetic loser.

Swap meet
  • Sean gave Hugh some U-Bolts.
  • Roger gave Sean some grief
  • Sean left

Tech discussion continued
  • Sean was berated further in his absence for not having an anti-wrap bar and putting the world at risk
  • Hugh was berated for having the longest build thread in history that is not really a build thread
  • Todd had enough and left

Logan's started cleaning up
The remaining members decided new business was not completed so they needed to adjourn to another bar.
The other bar was closed because this part of town closes at 10PM
Hugh has an idea
Hugh knows a bar called Lucky's that is likely open and just up the street.
The group arrives safely at Lucky's and are greeted in the parking lot by Wes the one tooth town drunk.
Meeting brought back to order.
  • The bartender is interested in the shenanigans and learns about the STLCA and on going land use issues. He explains he is blind in one eye so if one needs something he should yell loud.
  • Wes is hammered but he likes Roger who he believes is Hugh's uncle. Wes has a deal for us. His neighbor used to be a dancer but she is not a whore and does not engage in illicit sexual acts such as fellatio. Wes introduces the drunken neighbor whore dancer to Roger and Andy. She is afraid of Hugh.
  • Another round of cheap beers is ordered.
  • Andy is building sub-woofer boxes for an 80 series
  • Wes loves us.
  • Wes' neighbor apologizes for Wes by showing us a stack of her naked photos from when she was not using so many narcotics and still had a decent body. Roger blushes, Andy is impressed, Hugh is glad he is armed.
  • Hugh realizes whore has all her teeth. The group is surprised.
  • The whore dances on a metal pole and requests a beer for payment. She is not paid because she was wearing too much clothes.
  • Another round of beers was ordered.
  • The whore was escorted into the men's restroom where she remained for about ten minutes with some unidentified hero of the Appalachia.
  • Wes is escorted out of the bar by one-eye who returns to apologize for Wes' interruption of the STLCA business.
  • The dancing whore returns from the restroom to rejoin the meeting smelling of restroom floor, vitamin E and regret. She wants a beer to wash her mouth out.
  • The Appalachian Superman comes form the restroom with love in his eyes.
  • STLCA meeting continues in the parking lot. One-Eye thanks us for our patronage and escorts us out.
  • A bloodcurdling scream pierces the night from the no-tell motel across the street - the apparent residence of Wes and the mountain whore.
  • Hugh moves to adjourn.
  • Roger seconds.
  • Andy has already fled.

Could not have been better than September 6 2012!
funny you should mention that. We talked a bit about meeting locations and told everyone that Lucky's had reopened but no one seemed to interested. guess we'll save that for when you get back state side.

Hello - just wondered when/where Chattanooga meetings are held? I'm back in a Cruiser finally and would like to find out who drives some of the cool rigs I see around town.

That was it, been driving the wheels off of it since it was delivered. Tagged and on the road! Need to build a long roof rack and build out the inside a little.

Next Club meeting will be Feb 9th. im open to suggestions on location.

The 9th is next Thursday right? Weekdays generally aren't that good, unless you want to meet at around 7 Central.

I do need to have everyone up this spring when the ground dries out and the sun sets after 5.

I will talk to E and see if we can get a date put together.

I'm in but a FNG so I hate to recommend a place. downtown Chattanooga is nice but parking is always an issue. Food works has a good parking area and I would think it would be a small crowd on Thursday. I'm good with whatever just an idea. Let me know where I will be there.
