Can anyone recommend a good shop around Charlotte area that has installed ARB/TJM type bumpers on LC/LX and other off road parts if needed.
TIA

Is this far away? Trollhole's - 511 Palmetto Dr, Simpsonville, South Carolina 29681

2 hour drive one way. I mean if this is the best I can do and they come highly recommended I'll drive but would love to stay within 1 hour drive if possible

good call @KLF. Budbuilt also reps some bumpers too I think so likely have some on hand

Have heard good things about Apex Overland, Ashville Vehicle Outfitters, Southern Overland Outfitters and tarheel4wd

Best Cruiser shop on the east coast!

Less than 90 minute drive and looks like they are intimately familiar with LC. Perfect, thanks guys!!!
Too easy for that man. You can come by and see how I cut my ARB for my 200. I like to take my time, and slowly make it perfect. So if you need it done fast, probably another shop is better.

We're in good with Trollhole for a reason. I always recommend them, you can't go wrong heading over there.

Ashville Vechile Outfitters is solid, and Bobby and I have discussed how to we like to install bars and we are on the same page. It's really nice to find someone that knows what they are doing. I hate to do this, but stay away for Apex. I've fixed a few of their trucks lately, and they are not in a good position to install well right now. That will all change next year, but for now, key people are gone.

Honorable mentions for other great shops on the east coast (but are further way, but I like to help them out) ACC in Georgia and Iron Pig Off Road in Virginia. Great guys, great skills.

4wheelparts is the jiffylube of the install world. Get it in fast, run it hard, get it out, get another in, make money. When it comes to precise cut lines, and adjusting the bar to be clean and level, they just don't have the business model for that. Sure there are some diamonds in the rough, but when I get calls from 4wheelparts around the country who are installing our armor, and the techs don't understand simply basics, it gives me pause.

Highly recommend Dean at H&H in south end Charlotte. He has owned and built many land cruisers.

I recommend talking to Marshall at Troll Hole here in upstate SC. They are perfectionist. One of his employees lately told me that he likes his bolts turned a certain way once they are torqued down. On another note I just sold a 100 Series to a forum member here from Florida and he paid THC to do a prepurchase inspection. Marshall and I are friends, BUT he told me “the guy from Florida is a paying customer and I work for him. So if I find something wrong I will expose that to my customer, period. They even did a engine compression check on a 2006 with only 115K miles. You get what you pay for

Can't say enough good about Marshall/Trollhole. Make an appointment though since many others recognize their work and they stay busy.

The local club also works with Southeast Overland a little further down the road. Great folks too.

THanks everyone for your recommendations.

So is this something I would need to leave the truck overnight and then come back for it later?
I don't want to go to jiffy lube of anything, never have for oil and definitely not going to for something complex like a bumper. Besides around here it's probably all about Jeeps, which are so easy as far as bumpers go I could probably hang one myself. LC/LX are obviously more involved.

So depending if I have to leave the truck and drive back and forth twice limits me even further to whoever is closer.
How do I get in touch with you and budbuilt. I've emailed last week and the email bounced.

The bumper I'm looking at is the Ironman Premium they got on sale now. Would I get it shipped to the shop directly?

Sorry about that, email was back up Monday morning, which I see you’re now.

We were apart of a fun 4Runner project and I asked to get some pictures of it. Yeah know for the website. Well last Friday night I get like 500 high res photos and it maxed out our limit.

Sucks because who knows how many other bounced emails were out there during the weekend. The stuggle is real for the small businesses.
