What do y’all think for July? Throw out a day/date and location. Weekday to change it up from our usual weekends? I’d especially like to hear from the lurkers who wish we’d do something better suited to their schedules.

Not a lurker but I tend to like weekdays, it's been a while but the Tipsy Burro is popular and relatively central. My vote would be there the 10th, 11th,17th or 18th (wed/thursdays)

Agree especially with a slightly more central location - makes it a ton easier to make it for those who live north of the city.

I have the grandkids next week

We are like the bankers. Setting meetings to set a meeting. Lets say saturday 13th at 7:00 at tipsy burro. I say 7:00 because it is hot as hell earlier.

You're the first reply, so you win! They have trivia on Wednesdays at 7:30pm so let's do Thursday this month.

Tipsy Burro Saloon & Cantina
2711 Monroe Rd, Charlotte NC
Thursday July 11, at 7:00pm.

We've actually been doing Tipsy Burro more than any other place since before Covid, so are you suggesting we find a more central place or are you agreeing that it's it's fairly central, Jeff? Yeah, lots of us are within 7-8 miles of there, but it's also fairly central to our Waxhaw/Fort Mill/Concord people who are all coming 20+ miles. Do you have any places to suggest for future meetings if Tipsy isn't central enough? Always happy to entertain options.

Charlotte is also plagued with the traffic issue - that's the biggest reason I can remember for people wanting weekends instead of weekdays. Generally, the folks coming from 20 miles out didn't want to do so in rush hour.

Side note - I used to belong to a British car club (Triumph, MG, etc). They met every other month in Hickory, NC. Only 2-3 regularly attending members lived anywhere close. Most members lived 30-50+ miles away. A typical meeting was 6pm on a weekday. 10-12 people max would usually attend if things went well. 1-2 people would drive their British cars. Most of the miles I put on that car over 5 years were going to meetings that might as well have been held in a Walmart parking lot. Because of that, I've always tried to reach out to new and/or lurking members of ONSC to see if we could have a gathering that worked for them (when I was the one regularly scheduling meetings over the years).

Sadly I'm not going to make it - have a beer and a burrito for me!

Sorry to miss this but I was here doing this….
