I need to know the diameter of the center hole on factory FJ60 rims. I've searched a variety of threads (incl FAQ), but didn't find anything. I'm having some custom rims made and I want to make sure they'll fit exactly. I don't have stock rims to measure. Thanks in advance.
I'm pretty sure they are 4.5". I was going to run some nissan titan wheels and the opening was only 3.25" and I remember contemplating opening them up about 1.25". It's a pretty dang big hole.
Hmmm. The guy at Stockton wheel says they do lots for land cruisers. Center bore is 4.12". They claim they'll work. I am suspicious. I'll measure the hub tonight.
106mm (or 4.17 inches) is the actual 60/62 hub diameter. Just measured myself with my micrometer. Not sure if the FJ40 is different, but if it is, you sure you weren't measuring a 40 hub Spike?
The spacers I ordered to 3.5" have too small of a center to fit over my hubs, so I double checked with my caliper and micrometer to verify, and sure enough it's 106mm, a diameter match to my Tacoma wheels. So tomorrow I'm going to call US Wheel adapters and send my spacers back to them to have them machined out to the right center bore. Probably cost a few bucks extra, but that's what I get for not taking the time to dig out my own measuring tools to be 100% sure before ordering.
Figured I'd put the clarification up since this thread is the top result when someone Googles FJ60 hub diameter.
I ordered five 16X7 22 SER Off road rims from Stockton on 7-13-10. They center-bored their stock wheel centers to 4 7/16" and they fit great. The back spacing was set at 3.25". Very happy with them. I have a 1986 FJ60

This is the rear hub - I tried putting some Isuzu Trooper wheels on my FJ60 and they fit on the rear but not the front. The center boar was off by ~1/2 inch, so this adds up.
