CEL...P041 (1 Viewer)

The CEL has been on since I picked up my 97 LX450 with 101K and I stopped by the shop yesterday and had them scan it.
The code that came up was P041, an EGR malfunction.
There is vacuum going to the EGR valve (not sure of the correct name) that is on top of the valve cover towards the rear of the motor.
We cleared the code and the light came back on after about 3 miles.
I'm going to check all the vacuum lines as a start.
Any ideas what else I should look at?

well to start, search for 401.. not 41. You'll get many more results!

I've had this twice now, first time it was a new VSV & EGR temp sensor, second time a new EGR check valve and EGR valve. hth!

Do you mean a P0401 code? Its pretty common. Mine has it. I have pretty much narrowed it down to the EGR valve. Just decided to live with it until I feel like spending the money to make it go away. Do a search for a P0401 code. Endless reading.

Search came up with nothing for P041.
