More pics from James.

I believe this is the same obstacle ("The Hill") in the write-up from the link posted earlier in this thread.

Evan tackled the obstacle first. Several attempts to crawl the 80 up the center but a verticle 3+ft ledge was placed right where his rear tires couldn't get traction. He picked a line a little to the driver's right side which got the PS tire up so he could get enough momentum to drive up the ledge with the DS tires.

Graham was next and he pretty much drove up the same route using momentum.

Onur was the last to do this obstacle. He tried more to the left side of the ledge and came at it from a different angle. It was pretty steep on that same ledge; probably close to 4' in places. No go though so he moved back to the right side and made it up.

Wet and snow would make this one a lot tougher but it was fun.

A couple of more pics

Not sure how to post video here, but have a bit with Evan and Onur making "The Hill". Sorry Graham, no video of you making it look so easy (had to new batteries in).

Hey guys -

Great fun! Good pics by all - "The Hill" was a blast! Big tall ledges and very steep at the top, but it was OK after a few attempts.

A great job driving and spotting by Graham. Considering he was the only one on 33's who attempted the hill, he walked right up it. No fear!

Looking forward to the next outing already.

Evan

Wow. I *am* impressed! That set of ledges looks much harder in person. I chickened out, being the only locked rig at the time. I'd like to try it one of these days though...

Steve, remember that?

Great pics!

Land Cruisers (and Lexuses/Lexi) rock!

I'd imagine that SWB rigs would have a much harder time but it'd be cool to see how a 40 would do.

After seeing these pics I had to give that obstacle a try. Wow, that's a serious obstacle, being alone on Sunday morning I chose to winch once I reached the 4' ledge at the top and forward progress stopped. I'd like to give it another go though...:grinpimp:

Let's go this Sunday....I'm up for trying the harder line again off to the left as opposed to going up over the right....

Anyone interested?

Yeah, I've been thinking about the middle myself.

Sunday could be a possibility. I'm working on replacing the struts on our Camry, but I'll probably need a break from wrenching...

Evan

Yeah, I'll be there as usual...spectating.....need to try out the CB now that she is tuned well (I think).

I'm out. Working 9a-3p on Sunday. Enjoy and take pics.
