He seemed unsurprised when I called - ya know what I mean? Kinda like you call a friend to share some news and it seems like they somehow heard about it already and you wonder....

In the silence while I debate if I can be without one car for two days, I hear some drumbeats in the back ground over the phone. And some kinda clinky klunky sounds. It comes to me - the guy's using VOODOO! That clunking sound - it's chicken bones and human knuckles and the like as I've seen in the movies. DougM

Cmon Woody the drums, chicken bones, and human knuckles. This is tech thats not even covered in the FSM. I've always wondered how Dan seemed to know when I was gonna call, and how he seemed to have just the parts I needed at the time, almost as if it was planned.

Seriously though thanks for being there for all of us Dan, and Doug nice save, I don't know that I would have been that calm or clear headed about the whole situation.

C'mon now someone actually mentioned the fact that a starter is located near the tranny/engine, isn't that good enough! Geez, that's more tech than normal in the 80 series forum You better get used to 80's tech

IDoug, don't get down on Cdan, he's gotta feed the dogs somehow, I just wish he didn't have to stoop to that level. Maybe all the 80 series guys could agree to pay double for parts, so he wouldn't have to cast his curses anymore.

Now that Cdan referred to this thread in another post, I've noticed something disturbing that I had not even put together. Something insidious. Notice how Cdan posted "jokingly" in #3 above that the next thing I'd be needing would be a radiator? I literally forgot about that comment until he referred to this thread tonight.

Well, on March 7th (six days later!) I ordered a radiator from Cdan. And for those regular readers, I see that I've posted a thread that actually makes it seem like I'm HAPPY to have discovered the radiator on the new 97 needed replacing. Right on his schedule, too. And that I can't wait to work on my truck! Hmmmmmm......

I'm wondering if the fact that I exposed his activities on the dark side caused him to take the next step - direct mind control. 'Cause I really don't remember much about that week other than I fired off something like 300 rounds of ammo at the local gun range. Which is something he would do. I feel violated.
