Castrol Ultramax in 2F

Hi,

Does anyone have used Castrol Ultramax (I think this oil is for diesel engines) in a 2F engine?

I need to change the oil of my FJ40 and don`t know if use Castrol syntec blend 20W-50 or Ultramax

Wich one do you recommend me?

Ultramax is probably 15-40. You could use straight 40w in CR without any trouble. No need for synthetic in a tractor motor.

I run Shell Rotella (diesel oil) in my 1FZFE. The only difference is that the diesel oils contain more detergents IIRC.
The 40 gets regular old Castrol 20w50

I use Shell Rotella 15W40 or Mobil Delvac 15W40 in the 2F. They are diesel rated but also conform to API SM standards for some gasoline engines. IIRC Ultramax is Castrol's version of the same diesel oil. Synthetics in a 2F are overkill, IMO.

I run Rotella 15W40 in my 2F. Noticed a good increase in the oil pressure over 10W30.

Unless you like tracking down more leaks on the 2F, I'd steer clear of synthetic.
