caster mounting question

so, since my caster is at zero and i have the correction bushings installed i have been thinking about how i can get it corrected. One option is using parts from a 4runner (i think that's what it was bjowet mentioned). Just thinking outside the box, but, for good wheelin' don't you want most components up and out of harms way. Just wondering if the control arms (or fabed one's for this) could be mounted on top of the axle instead of below?

thanks hoser, i hadn't seen that before. I am really interested in getting this corrected.

bjowett, is there any way you could snap a couple more pics of your mod?
 
Top mounting the control arms would interfere with the tie rod.
 
Sure, will do.

It would be very beneficial to get them over the axle. As Dan mentioned, tie rod clearance is the major hurdle. Some arms could probably be built that allow the rod to pass through the center of them. Hmmmmm.... too many projects bouncing around in my head.
