Does anyone know if these exist?

I'm in Australia but can't seem to find anyone who makes/made them.
I'm looking for one that fits directly behind the front seats.

Might it be possible to use one from a troopie?

Look at Milford cargo barriers and search for LJ70 they are in Adelaide. Most 4x4 good shops such as ARB or TJM should be able to help you.

I imported one to Malaysia fom Milford direct in 2004 and they were very very helpful.

Oh yeah it also worked during the 2007 RFC when RED rolled over with 8-10 military boxes in the rear and not one of them moved. :)

I've emailed Milford and they told me the don't make one.

Perhaps they did in the past but no longer do. Or perhaps the one you have was designed for another vehicle but fits. I'll give them a call monday to check that's not the case.

Thanks

I've got a BJ 74 and fitted a 100 series cargo barrier behind the front seats. Tight fit but it does the job. Something will fit. Cost about 400 bucks.

I also suspect the new V8 LCII Diesel 78 (the new 5+ seater one with the bench seats since I no longer live in OZ I do not know the latest models there) Series cargo barrier will also fit as the inside is the same and the dash etc looks the same.

Hope this helps.

Thanks cicak, much appreciated.

And if this fails it looks like i'll be able to fit another without too many dramas.

Thanks again.

Thr troopy has a higher roof than a 70 series.

I think you could use one from a medium sized 4wd and weld new tabs onto suit the 70.
Try a wreckers, they often have stacks of them and would let you choose one that fits best.

Or just get someone to custom fab one for you.

THe TROOPY is about 100mm higher I know as I have one from Milford in the DEATHSTAR also. HEnce it would not fit. Also my advice is you do not cut one to make it fit.
