I know there are members who do outstanding jobs of rebuilding and selling FJ40 2F carbs.

I’ve been searching in mud and can’t find their contact info or websites. I’ve tried to send messages. Is there an existing resource list already?

If not..can someone please post a contact list , contact list . and/or websites for these carb gurus ?

Carb rebuild for factory Aisin

Looking to rebuild the carburetor for my 1974 FJ40, and after searching this forum, FJ40Jim name came up numerous times. I found his profile, but was not able to send a message. I did find his aol email on a thread, but not sure if it is current. Does anyone know if he still offers this service...

Carb work isn't for everyone, on the other hand it isn't all that hard either. The trick is getting the correct kit. I bought a 3L ultrasonic cleaner and a gallon card cleaner for less than $200. I think it will do my Rochester 2bbl jus fine, plus ought to work great on the chainsaw, generators, and weed wacker small parts stuff.

I bought a small carb screwdriver assortment, small brushes and a tip cleaner set up on Amoron for a good price.

A clean, well lighted work space and one of those magnifying glass holder units is worth the effort.
