carb problems

how can hair get into a carb.???????? this is todays fun question????? :eek::crybaby::frown::lol:

here is what I got..

new gas tank, new fuel lines, 2 in-line filters, new fuel pump, new fresh rebuild from JimC. anytime carb was off it was taped and plastic bagged... complete truck has about 250 miles on it since frame up resto

Well, I am old enough that my hair SHOULD be in a carburator, I--ah--think, but I don't remember--for sure--? Anyway, are you absolutely sure it is hair and not metal slivers? I have seen a lot of auto parts come out of the box with little tiny slivers and chips of metalclinging onto them. Also, I have seen old (but not new) fuel lines with the fiber re-inforcement starting to break down. Now that stuff looks just like hair. I suppose that it could of come out of the filter closer to the carb. Nowdays the filters are probably made right next door to the barber shop. John
 
Did any of your tank felt somehow end up in the system?
That stuff could look like hair...
