Carb functioning properly? (1 Viewer)

Pulled the air filter off to inspect the filter. While doing so, starting looking at the carb just because.

When I push the throttle down, the jet on the passenger side of the carb squirts fuel. The driver side does nothing.

Is that how this carburetor works? New to carburetors, not working on vehicles.

The secondary throttle plate is vacuum operated. there is a large dashpot on the front driver's side of the carb with linkage to pull it. You can try the paper clip trick to see if it's working. Just put a paperclip on the linkage shaft so its touching the underside of the dashpot. Take for a test drive and hammer down on the accelerator at some point. If the dashpot internal diaphragm is working and the vacuum line to it is working it should pull the linkage up into the dashpot when activated and this will slide or move the paperclip further down on the linkage.
