Yep that looks like the one. Now you should either see the sensor below the carb on the manifold with no wire or you will having a color matched wire going from the sensor, diving into the loom and then nothing..

Mtnphil, thanks for the help. I was able to bump my flight up and come home a little early, so I now have more tinkering time.

Thanks guys. I'm hoping to sneak some time later today to put a wrench and crimpers on it.
Greg -- I found the sender (no wire), so grabbed my 7mm wrench this morning, some connectors, and a bit of 18g wire.
I'll report back when I have some news.
Been 20 degrees above average here in Boise the past couple of days, and warm starts have been a biatch.

Good glad you can get some time. Just so you know that sensor is a PITA to get to and if you are not careful you WILL burn your hand on the exhaust down pipe. Be sure to either give yourself adequate time to allow it to cool or wear some heavy duty gloves.

And it works.

Just waited about 20 mins to confirm that the fan shut off.

Dan -- let me know if you want pics of the wiring.

Right on mtnphil, thanks. I am making it a point to look at mine tomorrow, as I have been busy mounting my 35's... :D

I'd love to see some pics! So here's my scenario: I have a wire coming out from the firewall that once grounded turns the fan on, and on, and on, and on. It doesn't shut off. I connected that wire to the sensor with a proper connector and it won't trigger the fan. There is however a wire that is stripped and runs into a loom much like the other pics I've seen in this thread. Not sure if the PO did some handy work. I will post a photo and see what you guys think is going on....to be continued

fan help

Here's what my de-somged drivers side looks like. I that that connector going into the loom. I didn't see any wire cut or melted. And after reading several posts, the fan is suppose to come on after the vehicle is off? Please advise on what I need to do to get it running. (I've tested the fan - hooked it up directly to the battery and it blows a lot of air. That green wire runs from the loom to the back side of the carb.
