Battery light came on and you can see the volt guage dropping on the dash with the car running.
Voltmeter reads 10V at the battery with engine running. 11-12 volts with engine off.
Turning headlights on will stall the motor.

I have to use a jump pack to move the car from lot to lot.
Does not charge under load either.

Time for an alternator? Pretty sure old one is from the factory.

Sounds like alternator failure, but first step IMO would be to fully charge the battery.

In a recent video from the Car Care Nut, he mentioned that if the battery light stays on, it's almost certain that the alternator is the problem, rather than the battery itself.

Well this is interesting. This morning, with the new alternator in hand, ready to replace the old one, I start the car to move it and now the car charges at 14V again. Took for a road test and zero issues from there. I checked the wires to the alternator and they were all good.
However, the battery postive terminal clamp was no longer strong enough to clamp against the terminal anymore. You could take it off by hand no matter how hard you tighten it. I replaced the clamp morning and did some off-roading without problems.

Just in case anyone was wondering it stopped charging completely 3 months later stranding the car. Replacing the alternator fixed the issue. probably should have just done it back then
