Good question! I agree it's supposed to be easy except for all the itching. This (my '73 restoration) is a big project, so if I can pay someone a couple hundred bucks to restore the cap, I'll be happy to. Other alternative is a new cap from CCOT, but that's costly.What's keeping you from trying to touch it up yourself? I've never done fiberglass repair but I'm always amazed at how doable it looks as a DIY when I watch vids![]()

There’s a soft top on Craigslist in round rock for I think a reasonable price.I wish i had a roof on my 40 to have your problems.
