Can the coolbox be installed on the Heritage?

You are better off buying a base cruiser and turning it into a heritage. The parts would be hideously expensive between the console, cooling lines, electrical, labor..

I hear what you are saying but to keep the question on point I don't want to consider the knock-off heritages.

With enough money anything is possible. As bloc said would most likely cost less to create your own HE from a base LC.

Want to pay someone to pull the engine/transmission on that brand new HE to run the refrigerant lines for the cool box?

I didn’t think so.

Again, anything is possible. But for most reasonable people this idea isn’t worth the money & effort.

I'm genuinely curious about the install; I don't know what's already there and what is still required. I've not been successful finding heritage parts diagrams to contrast with the base model.

I don’t get why you wouldn’t just get a regular land cruiser. Aside from blacked out headlights, a different grill, a badge and some stitching your not really getting a whole lot. But I guess to each his own. I use to want a heritage until I saw they are going to charge me more for less lol. I’m going to just get me a land cruiser with no dvd screens save me a grundle of Money one guy on Facebook bought a 2019 brand new for 72,000. That’s a deal

Why? Seriously. Why?

A Heritage is a base LC without the cool box, running boards, or third row seats, plus wheels, a couple badges, and a really ugly roof rack. That’s it. Oh, I forgot, you need to spend an extra $2k on the Heritage.

You can remove the third row and running boards from a base LC in a half hour. Eric will be glad to sell you the Heritage wheels and the badges. You can get a better aftermarket roof rack. Do all that and you will still be thousands less than adding a coolbox to a Heritage.

I would. I love the coolbox on long road trips. I don’t bother bringing a cooler. I just put a case of water in the back and restock the coolbox when I stop for potty breaks.

A knock-off? First off this Heritage is no AMG63 where the engine is built by one person, fully upgraded seats, suspension, etc. and is truly an upgrade over the base Mercs. I would never pay more for something that offers less. The roof rack on the Heritage is hideous, so you’ll be replacing that, you want a cooler box possible install, which will cost a fortune for an ok product vs. installing a Luna fridge/freezer box in the back. It’s pretty awesome and much cheaper solution. If you want to keep your drinks or snacks cold in the center console, through in an ice pack FYI- Nobody cares if you made your base LC look like a Heritage because again, it’s not like some idiot putting an AMG badge on a non-AMG car. That drives me nuts. Those are true posers.

Non-Heritage LC comes with literally top end leather...semi-aniline leather. Terra semi aniline is just so sumptuous and stands out.

I love my coolbox. I ride bikes a lot and always pack an orange juice for before ride and a couple beers for after ride. I put one of those freezable bags in the coolbox to help the beers stay cool while I'm riding. It saves me from packing a small cooler.

I use my cool box all the time — would definitely purchase this as an option had it not been standard on the LC.

I would go for a full on fridge/freezer setup in-lieu of the third row seats and probably save some cash too. But that is just me
