A while ago there was a thread on a camshaft gear slipping out of time due to the rubber portion not holding.

Anyone remember that thread?? I can't seem to find it now.

No but I am going to bear that in mind when I check the valve timing on a 2F next week.

Anyone know what years were had rubber in the timing gears?

Mace don't remember the thread.

Just thought someone would like to see what your talking about.

VVT;)

I have a new cam timing gear pn#13523-60030 which has no rubber in it if anyone is interested. $80 + shipping

I checked my gear after Spotcruiser reminded me to look at mine for wear before installing it in my new motor. My original one was missing rubber on both sides for about 3 inches!! Swapped with another one I had on the shelf.

Thanks again Todd
