If there was enough room to leave your sleeping bags unrolled inside that would be great. You could just pop the top and pass out or go to sleep depending on the night.

That is the idea.....all bedding stays inside. The owner of CampTeq does not even mess with a ladder just climbs up the tire carrier. It takes longer to open your hood then to get ready for bed with a CampTeq.

With my bed heating system I should be comfortable in any temperature.

Phil, I need to take a trip to Scottsdale when you get this. This has been a wishlist item for me but I could just never really justify the price. I've never had an RTT so I don't know the difference. I've always been in the tent and on the ground. Looking forward to your install and your review.

Web site says "slat bed suppor sans pad". Have you seen pics of the inside? The gallery was short on interior shots. I'm assuming from above no solid floor? How does the dimensions compare to your trailer? Only 81" long, and I'd imagine that includes the really short part. 'course, I'm 6'4" and mildly claustrophobic, so take my concerns with a grain of salt. I typically either set up my cot outside, or throw up the 11'x13' mini Taj Mahal tent...

For $5500 I could get a kick ass golf cart that I would use everyday but the RTT would be use every once in a great while.

If I was looking for or needed one, this looks pretty cool.

i LOVE mine,,, just a couple very easy minutes with a beer in my hand and my bedroom is ready. well, bedroom, living room and kitchen but you know what i mean:flipoff2:

I crawled all around & through the one at Overland Expo and was very impressed.
Having owned RTT's, Sportmobile vans and sleeping inside Troop carriers I think this is a great balance of cost and ease of use.
Good for it!

I seen and wheeled personally with the CampTeq. You can use a solid floor, the new floor is said to be lighter and more comfortable. The solid floor works better if you plan to cut the top.

The bed is smaller then my trailer but I welcome the trade off for the ability to take the CampTeq anywhere my 80 can go without concern. The owner is close to your height and has also entertain guess in cold temps and reported all was good.

The clamps that I will be using moving forward are DiamondRax Bulldog 2.0 Heavy Duty Clamps
They are available in both Black and Silver

Second dibs on the trailer

My Lightway off road trailer and RTT are both spoken for. Thanks for all the interest:cool:

I believe CampTeq has a couple more poptops available at a reduced price for the guy that want the ultimate is off road campers.

Yes sir!
Also. The Bulldog clamps will sit flush. They have a welded threaded stud that was keeping it from sitting flush in the previous pic

I will be using the ladder Eric suggested that is considerably stronger then any RTT ladder I have ever seen.

Having owned and spent time in a couple of RTT the CampTeq is leaps ahead with 10 second set up time because all your bedding stays in place. Dont see myself or anyone else going in and out except to go bed.:meh: I have thought of talking with Eric about a side entrance, we will see. But as of now I dont see it as an issue.

I see the CampTeq camper for me as a drive until you drop setup, 30 seconds and you are counting sheep. To close it up, maybe 30 seconds tops. No cover to put on or bedding to remove, just 2 latches on the rear and you are ready to leave. Watching it in action is amazing.

Lets do a back and side zip for your top, Phil. I'm still thinking if it should be one big continuous opening with still a side screen or two separate zip openings...
Custom is always an option with CAMPTEQ

Thanks for your attention on my needs. Your customer service has been great!

I must be missing something here, but why does this cost more than the high end Maggiolina line ($3.0 -$3. k), assuming one does not want to do the skylight monkey climb...

This is also fit to the 80 series which probably makes it quieter than the rack mount jobs.

I think it is a phenominal piece. If I camped more I would absolutely purchase this. Then again, I would probably purchase it and camp a lot more.

Thanks, I did just that.
Made it... made changes...to everything....and camped a lot.
It's very peaceful to be doing exactly what you want, wherever you want

Crisco...sent an email as listed on your website with a few questions.
Thanks!
