Buying a 200 = Roadtrip

I'll be flying out to Palm Springs, CA next week to pick up the new to us TLC. While I can't take too long on the return trip back to Jackson, will those who know the must see sites between here and there please share? I think I've decided to take the "northern route" (Phoenix to Albuquerque to Amarillo to Dallas, etc.) as long as the weather looks okay next week. I'd even entertain a modest off road detour if it didn't take me too far off course and allowed me to see some exceptional scenery.

I would suggest stop by at In N Out burger and get yourself a big fat juicy,messy,artery clogging 4x4 (4 patties 4 cheeses) extra sauce and make it animal style and same goes with the fries and don't forget a tall Neopolitan milkshake to wash it down. @MSU LC200 C'mon bro it's once in a blue moon that you try something like that,your not traveling west anytime soon after this trip right? Post some pics on your way home and show us that 200 when you get it. i should be able to afford a 200 in 10 years.
