On the recent wheeling trip, while preparing lunch, I used my Butter Butler and was instantly surrounded ;) by hordes of butter aficionados.

Amid the "oohs" and "aahs", the creamery delight was dispensed in beautiful ribbons of buttery goodness.

Now if I could figure out how to involve bacon, I'll be set

Neat!! Gee, does that qualify as "Expedition Equipment"???

almost!!! but that gizmo is interesting!! 10' of buuter could pass for a slip-n-slide :)

dont know if it would work in the dispenser, but, a friend in colo used to cook up some bacon, crumble it, saute some onions, cool all, then warm butter just enough to incorperate it all together. wrap it in wax paper and chill it in the fridge. it was perfect for camping.

Why does this thread sound like it belongs on CineMax?

I'm going out in that truck. As in, 'Gee, that line really got my heart going. Where's Spike, he was right behind me?' going out.

If only bacon made grease that could be incorporated into butter..... hmmmm..... ;) I like AFinn's suggestion too :D

Bacon grease does firm up like butter when chilled down around 35-45 degrees. Every farm kitchen used to keep a bacon grease can in the fridge. Usually had a screen in the top to sort out the chunks. It used to be the standard of the day for cooking oil, before Mazolla and Pam.

the 15th pic that comes up in a Google Images search for bacon grease :hillbilly:

That's nasty....
