FWIW, the free height of the 2.5" and the 3.5" Tapers coils is only about 1/4" different, according to the compiled suspension thread.

I am interested in the 2.5" tapers as well. Do you have any pictures or any hub to measurements you could share with me? (I'd love to hear your impressions of the springs after you get out in the rocks too!)

In the rocks is where the tapered coils shine and what makes them worth the price as compared to single rate coils.
 
Source a set of OEM bump stops from a wrecking yard, and ad 2" spacers--should be a cost effective way to get what you're looking for.

This. We have drilled out broken/rusted bolts in the frame for the snubbers. No big Beal. Extended stockers work well.

I measured everything before the lift and after. Looks like I got right at 3 1/8 "at the front bumper and 3 3/4" at the rear bumper.
Small stink bug and mild driver lean. The stink bug is probably due to light rear end at the moment and should be perfect for when I add swingout and spare tire. The driver lean wasn't noticeable before I fought to reconnect the original panhard bar. I will lengthen that (permanently) after it settles and I get castor and other things fine tuned. I'm not sure but seems like panhard might have sucked it down a smidge?
wheel wells from center of hub went from:
FD 19 3/4 to 22 3/4
FP 19 7/8 to 22 7/8
RD 21 3/4 to 24 7/8
RP 21 3/4 to 25

Ill snap a couple garage pics, my driveway is too sloped for good photo.
 
Not the best photos but I have desert on all side of subdivision I'll get some for you.
