I like the art-deco / 50's drill press & matching bandsaw.

My Mom has the matching Kitchen Aid mixer.

That's very neat!

I am thinking of building one out of 3/4" steel tubing and keeping it as an open frame. Roughly 3 feet wide by 5 feet deep, and about 8 inches tall and a carpeted wooden platform that sits in the top.

Copy cat

I Put some rear draws in mine and then made some stands where the seats would be.

I gotta re make the stands tho. Late night drunken 4wd campaign saw them get driven over.

Nice, and the Drill press is Awesome

I bet. I do dig it, had to rib you though - actually looks like better than my $hitbird POS Craftsman that I'm too lazy to buy a new drive belt for. Secretly hope it dies, so I can buy a Delta or similar.

And Mom really does have the set-matching mixer, that was true

Tech content:

You going further & making a blend panel for the shelf to folded-down seatbacks so you can really use as a sleep platform, or not bothering & happy enough as is using space to hold rubbermaids w/ misc crap stored?

Is that 3/4" particle or what is the material under the carpet?

I would love a matching mixer.

Going to air up the mattress and see if a gap board is needed between the seats and platform and on the sides.

1/2 birch plywood, it's pretty strong and lighter then 3/4.

Planning on building some drawers.
