I've been really slow at getting this truck together. I bought it last summer and it already had the SAS finished and the lift/steering done. But other than that it was stock.

Since then I've replaced the tires, installed a Marlin Ultimate crawler, and purchased the parts for rebuilding the axles. I've got a set of Longfields/chromoly inners and an ARB to go into the front diff that already has 4.88's. And I've got a matching ARB ready to go into the rear with 4.88's.

I am still working out designs for sliders and a cage and rear bumper. With that stuff I'll be set to play for a while.

Here's some lame driveway shots.

I found these cool boxes at a local surplus store. The two smaller ammo boxes hold my tool kit and stuff like straps and air hoses. The other larger box is a medical supply box, which like the ammo boxes is waterproof and that will hold the bigger stuff.

I plan on mounting a small rack to the bed rails above these to allow for a second layer of storage for the trail.

Truck looks SIC ;)
The toyota racing paint would look heela cool
I thought about doing that paint job on my 94 4-runner
however I am way to lazy so it will prolly just get a
solid military green paint job :D

Nice truck! I mounted a low profile Knack box across the back of mine that holds the Aux battery tools and the CO2

get that thing muddy ;)

Nice looking rig. I actualy like that toyota racing scheme. Wish mine was in that state. For sliders, we used some 1x1 square tubing and welded to the frame(notching out the body). They seem to work well, got the truck sitting on them a few years ago and held up...

with the cost of steel these days, I am leaning toward just getting a set of sliders from Marlin. $175 for a pair that are already built, or nearly $100 just for materials and then the time it will take me to build them. Seems like a no brainer to me.

So a slight change of plans. I got a quote on sliders/rear bumper/rollcage from http://www.anarchyoffroad.com/ today. Brandon from Anarchy was the "guest" Master Fabricator on Monster Garage when they built the Bronco Rockcrawler. I was pleasently suprised by the cost they quoted me. So I have an appointment scheduled for the 13th to get it all done.

They'll be building me some AllPro style sliders with a kickout toward the rear, a tube rear bumper, and a cage very close to the one I posted in this thread that's tied into the sliders and to the frame through the bed. It's all .120 wall DOM and will cost me just a bit more for all of it than I paid for the Schedule 40 cage I had in my FJ40. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me.

Now I just gotta get off my butt and get my ARBs set up and I'll be set to play hard soon.

Well I got the cage/sliders and rear bumper built. I'm really quite happy with it. Still needs paint and couple minor things.

it's a mixture of 1.75" and 1.5" DOM and its all tied to the frame.

Here's a couple pics of the sliders

-#3 This is the rear bumper. Simple single tube design. I had decided against bobbing the bed (for now) so I wanted to gain as much clearance as possible. Ended up cutting close to 6" off the bottom of the bed for this bumper. I like how it turned out
